Julie Dring is an MA student in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management at Ryerson University (2012-2014). She holds a BA in History and Theory of Art from the University of Ottawa. Her MA project traced the history of the Hackney Flashers, a socialist-feminist photography collective that was active in London during the 1970s. She is the recent winner of the 2014 Ryerson Image Centre Research Fellowship at the MA level. Julie joined the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre in May 2014 to provide support and deepen her experience with records management and digital imaging. She is excited about the opportunity to work with the Modernism and WWI Collections at the Centre.
