A Bachelor of Journalism student at Ryerson (2019-2023), Vanessa Nim researches ways of recuperating Indigenous knowledges and bridging cross-cultural ways of knowing. She also serves as a features editor for New Wave Magazine, a Ryerson based feminist magazine. As a MITACS research assistant at the MLC Research Centre, Vanessa assists Dr. Gammel and her team with researching Indigenous cultural production and appropriations within modernist art and literature. After graduating, Vanessa hopes to pursue a career in literary journalism.
