HomeNews & Events2017November Florine Stettheimer's...
Thank you to all who participated in our symposium exploring the multimodality of the work of Jazz-era New York saloniere, painter, and poet Florine Stettheimer. We thank our keynote speaker Barbara Bloemink and curator Georgiana Uhlyarik. We also thank scholars Lesley Higgins, Melba Cuddy-Keane, and David Dorenbaum, and visual artist and poet Steve Venright. This event centrally involved the work of graduate students in CC8992: Florine Stettheimer's New York Salon. This symposium was presented in partnership with the AGO on the occasion of the AGO exhibition Florine Stettheimer: Painting Poetry. We hope you enjoy this gallery of photographs.
