Rebecca Rocillo is a BA student (2018-2022) in Ryerson’s English Department minoring in Film Studies. Her research explores the intersection of racialized and gendered identities in postcolonial literatures and she serves as the content editor and co-editor-in-chief of The Continuist, Ryerson’s student-run arts and literary zine publication. As a work study research assistant at the MLC Research Centre, Rebecca assists Dr. Gammel and her team with researching cultural, literary, and arts-based approaches to pandemics in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. With the benefit of the experiential learning provided by the MLC, and with her passion for writing and literary journalism, Rebecca hopes to pursue a career in the arts and culture sector of Toronto.
