Emily is a proud MLC Alumna and no longer with the Centre.

Emily Burns holds a BA in English and History from Queen's University, as well as a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Western Ontario. While completing her Master's degree in Gender Studies from Queen's University on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's constructions of Canadian identit(ies), Emily was expanding her professional experience in her field in the MLC Research Centre. Following her MLC Archival Internship, she was hired (in 2012) as an Information Assistant in the Children's Department of the Oakville Public Library, Central Branch, allowing Emily to combine her interests in media, culture, and literature.
