Julia is a proud MLC Alumna and no longer with the Centre.

Julia Marcello is an MA candidate (2018-2020) in the Film and Photography Preservation and Collections Management program at Ryerson University, and holds a BA in Photography (2015) from Sheridan College. Her academic interest is in vernacular photography with a focus on sexual diversity, as well as in pornography and its place in the canon of photographic history. She has also worked as a curatorial, inventory, and collections assistant at galleries around Toronto such as the Corkin Gallery and Imago Mundi. Julia is thrilled to be working under Dr. Gammel’s supervision at the MLC, where she will be managing the Centre’s digital and analog archives and refining her research, cataloguing, and collections management skills.
