Justin is a proud MLC Alumnus and no longer with the Centre.

Justin Hovey is a BA student at Ryerson University (2017-2021) pursuing an English major with a minor in Philosophy. His research interests revolve around Modernist literature, particularly the tension between tradition and innovation in Modernist prose and poetry. In addition to his academic work, he has been a Politics Editor at the digital and print publication Affinity Magazine since 2017. Sponsored by Ryerson’s Work Study Research Assistant Program, Justin assists Dr. Gammel and her team in exploring the marginalized stories of women avant-gardists. He is excited to immerse himself in the study of the Modernist period, and to develop his scholarly writing, editing, and research skills at an advanced level.
