Nicole is a proud MLC Alumna and no longer with the Centre.

Nicole Downes received her BA in June 2008, with a major in Arts and Contemporary Studies and a minor in Human Resources Management at Ryerson University. Nicole has an avid interest in exploring the popularity of Asian cultural products in the Western world, specifically Japanese anime, pop music and manga. In 2008, under the mentorship of Dr. Gammel, Nicole was one of the organizers of the Ryerson Showcase: The Centenary of Anne of Green Gables as well as being involved in the MLC Research Center as the Center's first intern, honing her research and inventory skills. After graduating in 2008, Nicole joined Service Canada's Pension Division as the Assistant to the Canadian Pension Plan Manager.
