An MA student in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management at Ryerson University (2015-2017), Celio Barreto has been engaged in digital imaging since co-founding SoHo art gallery in Osaka, Japan, in 2007. There he was responsible for the gallery’s curation, exhibition design, digitization, documentation, programming, publishing and social media engagement. He holds a General Arts B.A. (1999) and a B.F.A. in Visual Arts – Multimedia (2003) from the University of Windsor. An intern at the Royal Ontario Museum’s Far Eastern photography collection, Celio is excited to be a member of the MLC’s digital imaging team.
