Dr. Karen Mulhallen
An internationally acclaimed author and editor, and long-time professor of English at Ryerson, Dr. Karen Mulhallen has published essays on the arts both in Canada and in the UK. For more than three decades she has edited the award-winning literary magazine Descant, and through the magazine and other anthologies has promoted the work of Canadian writers nationally and internationally. She has published ten books of poetry, as well as edited more than one hundred and thirty issues of Descant magazine, as well as many books, most recently, Blake In Our Time: Essays in Honour of G.E. Bentley Jr. (University of Toronto Press, 2010). She is currently working on a book exploring the conjunction of art and science in eighteenth century book illustration. Dr. Mulhallen has generously donated the Karen Mulhallen Modernism Collection to the MLCRC.
